Religion Reflection

I had a lot of fun learning about Islam, I thought that doing a project on religion was a really good idea.  I worked alone on my project and I worked hard on it, at the end it turned out really great.  Working alone gave me the ability to work on projects during the weekend and also I wouldn’t goof off.  My video was mainly about Muhammad who was a huge part in the Islam religion.  I learned a lot about Islam, I learned the holidays, the five pillars and the kinds of Islam.  I met all of my expectation and I met almost all of my questions except what religions do Islam dislike and combat, I didn’t do this because it was a little hard finding info for it.  I’m actually glad that I worked by myself because I now what to do and when to do and I usually don’t need people telling me what to do and if I was in a group with other people then I probably would have gone off track.

I think my video could have been better and like rob said for the shorter video my pictures weren’t in line with the voiceover.  I also think I could have improved on planning my schedule and using time more wisely.  Also I should have been looking at the NMY 6 Virtual Whiteboard, because I didn’t know that for my presentation of learning I had to make a five minute video, which in the end I made a seven minute presentation and it too was pretty good.  One thing that I got from my classmates that I agree with is next time I should choose a different way to present because this has been my third time this year I’ve used a documentary.

I’m really glad that we did a religion project because I learned A LOT form it and also I learned a lot about other religions from everybody else’s project.  Speaking of which, I loved everyone else’s project and I’m sure that the presentations that I did miss were great.  Once again I loved learning about religion and I think religion is a really good thing to learn in this world full of religion.

Science: COW EYES!!!

today in science the 6th and 7th grade disected a cow eye.  I thought it was a lot of fun, really cool and I learned a lot from it.  I thought it was really cool because when we turned the eye inside out I saw a bunch of stuff like the tapetum which was really shiny and also I liked the optic nerve and the lens, also the vitrous humer was really cool.  If I were to do this again with soemthing else then I would diffenent want to because even though it was gross I really enjoyed it.  Thank you Carwai ofr letting us do the disection! :)
