For our medieval project ruby Andrew and I worked on medieval disease and illness. Our group met our goals that we created, but I think if we had managed time better we would have done better. My personal goal was to do my part in this project and to accomplish what our group needed to accomplish and we successfully did that. I learned a lot from this project, like that the Black Death actually started in Asia and that the Black Death raged for over ten years. During the making of the bibliography, the movie and the documentary I learned that it takes a lot of time to get something perfect and it also takes a while to edit. Also if something goes wrong you must make time up to do that thing or you will not have that because you’ll have to move on to another part of the project.
I learned more about iMovie that I did not know and also I now know a website that can create a proper bibliography, and I definitely learned a lot about medieval disease and the unsanitary things that medieval people didn’t have that we do today. Our group used a lot of different websites, we used Ask.com quite a bit and I don’t think we used Wikipedia that much at all. We did not check if sources were reliable all the time, but sometimes we would come across another website and see that the two websites were different, but some of us knew a little about some diseases and illness already and would check if that is right. We credited all of the sources we used and I’m very happy that we completed that.
I think our group got along really well, but sometimes we were moody because we most likely had one day to do a part of the part of the project. I think our group was always in a good mood. The group was always kind to each other and we were never yelling at another person to do something. No one really became the leader, but at some points Ruby was kind of bossing us and sometimes, and I was too. Everyone in our group made a great contribution, and we couldn’t have completed what we already accomplished without everyone in our group. I think I probably would have done the same thing if I did this project with another topic because making a documentary, bibliography and a movie is a really good way to show what you learned. If I were to do this again I probably would have taken more time to refine and try to do every step completely right and edit better, also I would take more time to make a better script that would make a little more sense and to along with this to remember lines better. I might make a potion with the ingredients for real medicine and maybe if I had a LOT of time I could create an apothecary, but without the potions.
My role in this project was writing most of the script, I also helped with the documentary and the video and the entire group helped with finding pictures. I think I did the best I could do in this project I think I contributed a lot into taking part into making this project work out. I think that our group put a lot of effort into this project I don’t think we gave a full 100% effort, but I do think we put about 95% effort into this project. .In my next project I would be involved in editing more, because editing is good to have because otherwise everything is messed up and its not in orded and the voice level could be too high or too low, and so on and so forth. I think that it is my top priority to edit and I don’t think that I couldn’t have gone anywhere without Andrew and Ruby.
I think, and Rob also said that our porject was very good, but somethings could have been better. Like if you watched our medieval video you could realise that at the part where we were taking about leprosy, we had a very borring picture that went on for a long time. In this case he said that next project that we should think more about editing. He also said that we should try to stay on schedule a little better because we were sometimes off schedule.
